While it isn’t clear exactly what causes these muscle spasms, leg cramps may be caused by a variety of factors including intense physical activity or overuse of the legs. While the baby is forming inside the womb.
But you don’t have to worry about the same. As there are few solutions available for the same. Such as:
1) Do some exercise regularly and incorporate the stretching routine. For basic - do a calf stretch Stand at an arm's distance from the wall, put both hands against the wall facing you, and place your right foot in front of your left foot , with toes pointing towards the wall. Slowly move your left leg forward and keep your knees straight, and your right foot resting on the ground. Keep the stretch for approximately 30 seconds, making sure not to bend your back and keep the hips moving forward. Take deep breaths throughout the stretch. Repeat the stretch with the second leg.
2) If you feel that your muscles are tense then gently stretch on the affected side , and then lie down by elevating your legs. Warm baths, ice massage or muscle massage can aid too.
3) Drink plenty of fluids. Your urine should be light yellow or clear when you're well hydrated.
4) Wear stockings or socks with support that offer some compression for your calves.
5) Increase the amount of calcium and magnesium content of your diet through eating foods like whole beans, grains, dried fruit, nuts , and seeds.
